The name Almualif, which is the Arabic word for "The Author", was chosen to emphasize the mission of this publishing company, which is to help unique authors custom publish their works. Almualif Publishing was established by Judy and Hanna Saadah in 2005 to custom design and produce books of high-quality content with a humanitarian message.
Books are produced at the author's expense. Twenty percent of all book sales must go to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation* which, in turn, will redistribute the funds to the particular charities designated by each author.
Authors are encouraged to join the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The donor may advise the OCCF to use the funds in any of the following ways:
- To make a grant to any organization or charitable purpose that has an endowment fund at the OCCF.
- To make a grant to another 501 (c) (3) public charity serving the education and charitable needs of the Oklahoma City community, the state of Oklahoma, or the USA which has been investigated by the OCCF and meets the I.R.S. criteria for a tax-deductible gift.
Almualif Publishing will help individual authors by posting their books on its website, organizing book signings, and implementing marketing strategies.
